About our board and staff

Adrienne Flagg, Creative Director

IFCC’s Creative Director, Adrienne facilitates all artistic programming, works with artists, arts organizations & educators creating artistic partnerships. She is the Artistic Director of The Portland Theatre Brigade & former AD of Toad City Productions. She trained in NY at SUNY Purchase and New Actors Workshop with Gene Hackman, Paul Sills, Mike Nichols & Elaine May. In addition developing new work with playwrights & teaching young people, Adrienne has directed for TCP, Stark Raving Theatre, Uof P & Integrity Productions.

Performances include the lead The Choice (Stark Raving), Cat References to Salvador Dali… (Miracle Theatre), Cynthia The Real Inspector Hound, Sierra Jingle Spree (CoHo), Izzy Rabbit Hole (ART), poetry ensemble VOX, PDX Backfence & Wanda The Waiting Room (BITR) for which she was awarded a Drammy for best actress in a lead role.

Family motto: ” What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger- or at least makes a good story”, its no wonder she was drawn to the arts. Adrienne is always acutely aware of the deep cultural value of storytellers. “Storytellers, & by that I mean all artists and performers, are society’s mirror to the soul and beacon for the heart. It is an ancient, honored position with a lot of responsibility.”
When not involved with the performing or visual arts you will find Adrienne in the kitchen cooking fabulous creations or in her yard with her 50,000 bees & 4 chickens.
