Women’s Art: Women’s Vision.
Celebrating the theme of 2008’s National Women’s History Month Remedios Rapoport takes the traditional Argentinean art of Filete (elaborate sign painting) and puts a contemporary message for empowerment and action into each piece. She will present her work, act as guest curator and mentor an emerging artist also working with women and political empowerment. Jacquelyn Bond is a young artist who paints water color illustrations and creates beautiful political pin ups.
Opening Reception: Last Thursday, February 28 5:30–7:30pm, Free
Artists’ Tea: March 15, 1:00pm, Free
Seriously Pissed Off Grannies: March 17, 7–10pm, Free
Portland’s favorite Grannie war protesters host an evening discussing, celebrating and planning for the future.

IFCC programming update March 2010
IFCC is available by appointment only beginning April 13. The organizations office/staff will be leaving the building April 30, 2010. IFCC Board may be reached after that date at info@ifccarts.org.
The theatre is booked and busy until June 30 2010. Performances include Portland Improv Group, Vagabond Opera, Dance Coalition of Oregon, and Nomadic Theatre.
During this time IFCC will also contunie to support its community of dance teachers, community groups and Sunday church guests.
IFCC‘s gallery will be closed until further notice.
We will continue our education programs including Portland Theatre Brigade and Ockely Green Visual Arts. Please see the message from the IFCC Board on our main page for more information regarding the future of the organization.
