ill-starred is the latest creation by Portland dance/performance art company, Hot Little Hands. This new work explores loss, relationships, dreams, mourning and the reaction to and understanding of crisis. Collaborators Suniti Dernovsek and David Stein further their investigation into the fusion of dance, painting, wearable art, installation and music to create a thought provoking experience. KO&Co.‘s dance show ExpecTUtion literally reshapes the expected base of a flat dance floor to reexamine our expections. Ko&Co.‘s ensemble of ten dancers blend modern dance, post modern ballet, improvisation, acrobatics and capoeira on a stage designed by Carly Boynton and built by Portland carpenters.
